Angad Bedi is portraying the role of Bhaskar Shetty in ‘Mum Bhai’, a cop who has taken the charge of cleaning the streets of his city. AltBalaji released its trailer recently. Produced by Apoorva Lakhia, the crime-thriller series features Angad along with Sikander Kher and Sandeepa Dhar in the pivotal roles. It will be also available on Zee5. The 3-minute 14-second trailer brings out the premise of the show, which is based on a face-off between cops and the underworld in Mumbai of the 90s. The trailer starts by introducing us to the fact that in 1990, Mumbai Police set up the Anti-Terrorism Squad to counter crime syndicates. Between cops and gangsters eyeing the crown of power and politics, an action-packed trailer unfolds.
From the trailer, it seems the story will delve into the conflicts a cop faces to descend to the level of criminals to bring them to justice and restore peace. In a bid to rule the town, gangsters operate ruthlessly, and so does the police to stop them.
‘Mum Bhai’ has Angad Bedi as cop and encounter specialist Bhaskar Shetty who would do anything to clean up his city. A character says something to the effect of, “We had to descend to the level of city’s scum to get rid of them.” Which means they had to become as ruthless as gangsters or terrorists to bring them down.
