Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Chandigarh on August 4. He will inaugurate the centre built by Chandigarh Police for the implementation of the three laws- Indian Judicial Code, Indian Civil Defence Code and Indian Evidence Code. Apart from this, the administration is also scheduling many of his other programs. It has started with the preparations for the same. The venue for his program is being decided by the administration. He will also inaugurate many projects on his arrival, next month.

All the three laws passed by the central government have been implemented in the entire country, including Chandigarh from July 1. The Indian Justice Code 2023, Indian Civil Defense Code 2023 and Indian Evidence Act 2023 were passed by the central government. Now, cases are registered under these laws. The police has set up a centre to monitor the cases registered under these laws 24 hours a day, which Shah is supposed to inaugurate.

Chandigarh Police launched an app to implement the three laws. All of the information related to the three new laws is available on the app. It can be downloaded from Play Store. Police is trying to provide complete information to the people. On this app, people can know about the provisions of both, the new and old laws and the difference between them.

There will be many changes after the implementation of the three new laws. Union Home Minister Shah visited Chandigarh on December 22, 2023. He had instructed the senior police officials to implement the new laws as soon as possible. In this regard, the police has also provided training on the three new laws to 550 front line officers.
