Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah is scheduled to undertake a series of engagements in Karnataka tomorrow, including participating in a roadshow. His busy day will begin with an address at the Sakti Kendra Pramukh Sammelan at Palace Ground in Bengaluru, aimed at strengthening grassroots leadership and organizational structure ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. Following this, Shah will convene a Core Group Meeting of the BJP in Bengaluru to discuss important policy matters and strategies for the region.

Later in the day, Shah will lead a roadshow from Chikkamalur to DT Ramu Circle, Channapatna in Ramanagara, Karnataka. This roadshow will involve interactions with citizens, highlighting government initiatives.

Shah’s visit emphasizes Karnataka’s importance in the political landscape and underscores the government’s dedication to the state’s development and welfare.

In the upcoming elections, the BJP has fielded candidates in 25 Lok Sabha constituencies and has left three seats for its ally JD(S) in the state.

One of the notable contests is in Bengaluru Rural constituency, where the BJP has fielded JD(S) patriarch and former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda’s son-in-law, C N Manjunath, against D K Suresh, the brother of three-time MP and Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar.

The general elections in Karnataka are scheduled to be held in two phases on April 26 and May 7 for the 28 constituencies.
