Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived at the Bharatiya Janata Party headquarters in New Delhi on Wednesday for a meeting of the party’s Central Election Committee (CEC).
BJP national general secretaries Tarun Chugh, Kailash Vijayvargiya, and other senior party leaders greeted Shah. JP Nadda, the party’s national president, and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also arrived at the event.
The seminar is being convened in anticipation of the 2019 Assembly elections in five states such as:
- Madhya Pradesh,
- Chhattisgarh,
- Rajasthan,
- Telangana,
- Mizoram.
The discussion is likely to focus on candidate selection and campaign strategy.
