Union Home Minister Amit Shah accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of disrespecting the Constitution by displaying what he called a “fake” copy of it. Speaking at a BJP rally in Palamu, Shah claimed that by waving a “void” copy labeled as the Indian Constitution, Gandhi insulted B.R. Ambedkar and the Constituent Assembly. “Don’t make a mockery of the Constitution. It is a question of faith and trust,” Shah said, asserting that Congress has “made the Constitution a mockery.”

Shah also claimed the BJP would resist any Congress efforts to reserve quotas for minorities, alleging that Congress aims to take reservation rights from OBCs, tribals, and Dalits. “The Congress is against OBC quota,” he asserted, referring to a promise by Congress leaders in Maharashtra to offer a 10% reservation to minorities. Shah emphasized, “Under PM Modi’s leadership, the BJP will never allow religion-based reservations.”

He further accused Congress of planning to restore Article 370 in Kashmir, warning Gandhi, “even your fourth generation can’t bring back Article 370.”

Shah also criticized the Jharkhand government, led by Chief Minister Hemant Soren, calling it “the most corrupt government” and accusing Soren of benefiting from infiltration. Elections for Jharkhand’s 81-member assembly are set for November 13 and 20, with vote counting on November 23.
