There are reports of the former Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amarjit Singh Sandoa being detained at Toronto Airport in Canada from Rupnagar.
Sandoa was reportedly questioned at the airport for about 7 hours. It has also been revealed that Punjab Assembly Speaker Kulwant Singh Sandhu was also present with him. After sending a letter from the SSP of Rupnagar, he was granted entry into Canada.
Sources also revealed that the Canada Immigration Department received a complaint that there is an FIR against Sandoa, which led to his detention at the airport. After receiving a clean chit from the Rupnagar SSP, Sandoa was allowed to proceed.
