The Tabla Wizard Pandit Chaturlal Memorial Society is all set to present “Amar Jyoti,” a heartfelt musical ode honouring the bravery and sacrifice of the unknown soldiers who have selflessly served our country. The event is scheduled to take place today, i.e., August 21, 2023, in Delhi’s famous Kamani Auditorium, starting at 7 p.m.
The event’s highlight will be the intriguing performances by prominent artists who will lend their musical skills to make the evening special. The event will feature performances by living legend Pt. Hari Prasad Chaurasia on the flute, together with Ms. Debopriya Ranadive, Ms. Vaishnavi, and Ustad Rashid Mustafa Thirakwa on the Tabla. The evening will continue with a spellbinding performance by one more living legend, Grammy Award winner Padma Bhushan Pt. Vishwamohan Bhatt on the Mohan Veena accompanied by Tantri Samrat Pt. Salil Bhatt on the Satvik Veena, together with the prince of Tabla, Sh. Pranshu Chatur Lal who is famously known as Prince of Tabla. These distinguished artists will honour the unsung heroes with their melodic renditions, showcasing the power of music to evoke emotions and bring people together.
As main guests for the evening, General Manoj Pande, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, ADC, Chief of the Army Staff, and Air Chief Marshal Vivek Ram Chaudhari, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, ADC, Chief of the Air Staff, will grace the occasion.
The event is hosted by Ms. Shruti Chatur Lal Sharma, Artistic Director of the Pandit Chatur Lal Festival, and granddaughter of the legendary Tabla doyen.
