Actor Allu Arjun, the lead star of Pushpa, will spend the night in jail and is set to be released on Saturday morning. Chanchalguda jail authorities said that that Allu Arjun will not be released on Friday night according to a TOI report.
A jail official stated, “He will be released tomorrow morning.” The delay is due to the jail receiving the “bail order late in the night,” and as per the jail manual, there are restrictions on the release of prisoners during nighttime.
Srinivas Rao, Additional DCP Task Force, speaking to reporters about the actor’s release, said, “He will be released tomorrow morning… I don’t know the reasons… He will be released tomorrow morning.”
Allu Arjun was lodged in the Manjeera block under Special Class status, granted by the Nampally court, which had earlier remanded him. This comes after the Telugu superstar was granted bail by the Telangana High Court following his arrest in Hyderabad.

The actor had been sent to 14-day judicial custody by a local court in connection with the tragic death of a woman during a stampede at the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule at Sandhya Theatre. He was granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court shortly after.
Earlier in the day, police had arrived at Allu Arjun’s residence, leading to a tense situation where the actor was seen arguing with an officer and protesting their entry into his bedroom. “It is definitely not a good thing,” he was heard saying.
In an unexpected turn, the acclaimed actor was transported to Chikkadpally police station in an official vehicle. Following his appearance at the Nampally court, he was placed under 14-day judicial custody and transferred to prison with significant security measures.
On December 4, a tragic incident occurred at the Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad, when a 39-year-old woman lost her life and her eight-year-old son required hospitalization. The incident took place amidst chaotic scenes as crowds gathered to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun at the premiere of his film.
The city police filed charges at the Chikkadpally police station against Allu Arjun, his security personnel, and the theatre management under various sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), following a complaint from the deceased woman’s relatives.
On December 11, Allu Arjun petitioned the Telangana High Court to dismiss the FIR filed against him. After the local court ordered his judicial custody on Friday, the high court granted him four weeks of interim bail, with the next hearing scheduled for January 21, 2025.
