Esteemed actress Esta TerBlanche, known for her role on the beloved ABC soap opera “All My Children,” has passed away at the age of 51. According to records from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office, TerBlanche died last week in Los Angeles, as reported by CNN.

TerBlanche’s manager, Annie Spoliansky, released a heartfelt statement expressing her sorrow: “Esta was such a kind, loving, giving, and caring person. She cared so deeply for all people and animals. Esta was never anything but generous and lovely to me, and I’m grateful to have known her for the time that I did. I am devastated to learn of her passing.”

TerBlanche famously portrayed Gillian Andrassy Lavery on “All My Children” from 1997 to 2001, later returning for a special episode in 2011. Throughout her time on the show, she appeared in over 100 episodes, leaving a lasting impact on fans and colleagues alike.

Born and raised in South Africa, TerBlanche began her acting career in her homeland before relocating to the United States in 1995. She was crowned Miss Teen South Africa in 1991 and starred in South Africa’s first daytime soap opera, “Egoli: Place of Gold,” where she played Bienke Naude Hartman from 1992 to 1995.
