Hyderabad: After facing flak from the Telangana High Court and the Governor for its inaction in Covid-19 sample testing, the state government has ramped up rapid testing and various other measures to check the spread of coronavirus.
A total of 52,933 samples were tested in Telangana on Monday while the cumulative total of the tests conducted in the state crossed the 10,21,054 mark. The fatality rate of Telangana is 0.70% which is less than the national average of 1.85%. There are 23,735 active cases, 17,226 are under self-isolation, 84% are asymptomatic. The deaths due to comorbidities have risen to 53.87%.
