SP chief Akhilesh Yadav unveiled the statue of his father and SP founder Mulayam Singh Yadav in Lucknow on the birth anniversary of the late leader in a ceremony attended by senior party leaders, supporters, and family members.

Addressing the gathering, Akhilesh Yadav paid tribute to the former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and described him as a towering figure in Indian politics. He said, “Netaji’s vision and leadership continue to inspire millions. This statue stands as a symbol of his contributions to the state and the nation.”
Strongly accredited as “Netaji” to his fans, Mulayam Singh Yadav was the founder of the Samajwadi Party, established in 1992, and was a strong element defining the political scenario of Uttar Pradesh. His grassroots connections combined with social justice focus made him a dominant force until his death.
