Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his inaugural visit to IMC 2024, interacted with several pioneering startups, including women-led enterprises like Astrome and Easiofy Solutions. His presence underscored the nation’s commitment to fostering technological advancements.
AI-powered solutions dominated the event, covering various sectors like conservation, healthcare, and safety. A standout solution was an AI-based railway safety system that detects and alerts authorities about unusual activity on tracks, preventing potential accidents.
In the healthcare sector, Vodafone Idea demonstrated real-time diagnostic transmission technology, allowing doctors to conduct remote consultations for over 30 medical tests at a low cost, making healthcare accessible in rural areas.
Bharti Airtel launched India’s first AI-powered spam detection tool, which offers real-time alerts to combat spam calls and messages effectively. Meanwhile, Reliance Jio previewed its PhoneCall AI, an innovative feature that transcribes and summarizes phone calls, currently in its testing phase.
The Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR) presented AI-driven solutions for smart farming and aquarium management. One AI-based system monitors water quality and fish feeding schedules, providing insights and ensuring optimal conditions for aquaculture.
Academic institutions, including IITs and IIMs, displayed groundbreaking AI solutions at IMC 2024. IIT Kanpur’s C3iHub focused on cybersecurity for critical infrastructures, while Mahindra University students introduced AI tools to enhance shrimp farming.
