Prime Minister Narendra Modi is gearing up for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections, with the first electoral rally scheduled to take place in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr on January 25, as per sources from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). This rally in Bulandshahr marks the initiation of the election campaign for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, following the Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha Samaroh in Ayodhya on Monday.

Party workers and BJP leaders are actively involved in the preparations, anticipating a significant turnout in the western Uttar Pradesh city. The BJP, currently holding eight out of 14 seats in western Uttar Pradesh, experienced defeats in six constituencies in 2019. Prime Minister Modi is reportedly preparing to reverse the trend in these seats during the 2024 elections. Commencing the election campaign from Bulandshahr, PM Modi aims to connect with voters and supporters in areas that were previously contested, sharing the formula for victory.

The BJP claims that approximately five lakh people will attend PM Modi’s rally in Bulandshahr. The Prime Minister’s scheduled public meeting in Bulandshahr’s Navada village on January 25 is expected to garner support, featuring a shooting range field in Meerut Commissionerate.

Meanwhile, following the announcement of an alliance with the Rashtriya Lok Dal for the Lok Sabha polls, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav has indicated that there will be further meetings with Congress to finalize the seat-sharing formula in the state. Emphasizing the need for a strong “INDIA alliance,” Yadav held a meeting in Lucknow with party leaders, including former MPs, former MLAs, and former MLCs. He stressed the importance of winnability as the criterion in decisions on seats.

Yadav urged party workers to ensure the registration of voters who support the party in the new voter list, accusing the BJP government in the state of removing the names of some party workers from the list. Ongoing seat-sharing talks between Congress and the Samajwadi Party for the Lok Sabha polls, expected in April-May, continue.
