Hyderabad: Garbage was dumped in front of multiple banks in a small town in Andhra Pradesh for refusing loans under the government schemes like “Jagananna Thodu”. The bizarre incident has left authorities surprised. The garbage piles were allegedly dumped by disgruntled sanitation workers in Vuyyuru municipality in Krishna District of Andhra Pradesh and placards were placed at the respective banks saying that it was done as per the orders of municipal commissioner.

The garbage piles were dumped in front of four banks Union Bank, State Bank of India, Corporation Bank and Syndicate Bank. Similar incidents happened in Machilipatnam and Vijayawada also. This incident created a sensation across the nation and Union Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman also responded strongly and talked to the finance minister of Andhra Pradesh, Buggana Rajendranath Reddy.

The Andhra Pradesh government suspended the Commissioner of Vuyyuru Nagar Panchayat in Krishna district, over the incident of dumping of garbage in front of banks.

The government also sought an explanation from him. Commissioners of Vijayawada Municipal Corporation and Machilipatnam Municipal Corporation in the district were asked for explanation.
