According to the National Center for Seismology, an earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale rattled Afghanistan’s Fayzabad city on Sunday. The earthquake struck at 2:51 p.m. on Sunday, according to the NCS. The earthquake struck 99 kilometers south of Fayzabad.
There have been no recorded casualties. Furthermore, the earthquake was 33 kilometers deep. “Earthquake of Magnitude:4.2, Occurred on 13-08-2023, 14:51:50 IST, Lat: 36.21 & Long: 70.54, Depth: 33 Km, Location: 99km S of Fayzabad, Afghanistan,” the NCS tweeted.
