The 13th Admiral’s Cup Sailing Regatta 2024, hosted by the Indian Naval Academy (INA) at Ezhimala, Kerala, reached an exhilarating point on Day 2, with Russia and Singapore taking the lead in the individual category.
The event, inaugurated by Vice Admiral C R Praveen Nair on December 8, has brought together 25 teams from across the globe to compete in this prestigious maritime competition.
Wednesday marked the conclusion of the Initial Series of races, with four individual races held.
These talented sailors showcased exceptional skill and strategic acumen, securing the top positions as they head into the final series, set to begin on Thursday.
The day wasn’t just about competition. Participants also attended a special presentation on India and the Indian Navy, followed by a cultural showcase that highlighted the diversity and richness of Indian traditions. This unique blend of sport and culture fosters stronger international bonds.
The event coincided with Tanzania’s Independence Day celebrations, further emphasizing global unity.
