The Adani Group is exploring investment opportunities in various sectors such as ports, airports, power, and defense in the Philippines. Adani Ports, a subsidiary of the group, has expressed interest in developing a deep port capable of accommodating Panamax vessels in Bataan.

During a meeting with Philippine President Ferdinand R Marcos Jr in Manila, Karan Adani, the Managing Director of Adani Ports and son of Group Chairman Gautam Adani, shared the company’s intentions. President Marcos welcomed the plans, suggesting a focus on ports handling agricultural products to enhance the country’s global competitiveness. He also mentioned the government’s efforts to establish gateways for tourists and facilitate the affordable transportation of agricultural products across the country.

If these plans come to fruition, it will mark Adani Ports’ fourth international venture, following previous deals in Colombo, Australia, and Israel.
