The Delhi High Court on Friday directed the AAP government to take action against online health service aggregators that are allegedly operating illegally regarding Covid-19 tests doing illegal sample collection. The HC was hearing a petition filed by pathologist Dr Rohit Jain against online labs which were illegally collecting Covid samples.
According to Dr Jain, these companies are working all across India and doing testing without having proper certificates and documentation. A bench of Chief Justice D.N. Patel and Justice Prateek Jalan gave the direction while disposing of a PIL which sought a ban on illegal online health service aggregators from collecting diagnostic samples. People should approach not on the basis of online information but only by visiting and knowing about the proper information on pathologist and doctor ‘s qualification who is doing testing, says Dr Jain.
