Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Hyderabad House in New Delhi on Monday. The meeting was marked by a warm hug and handshake between the two leaders before they proceeded to their discussions.

Sheikh Khaled arrived in New Delhi on September 8 for his first official visit to India. He was received by Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, who also oversaw a ceremonial welcome at the airport. The Ministry of External Affairs shared pictures of the reception, highlighting the warm welcome given to the Crown Prince.

During his visit, Sheikh Khaled will also meet President Droupadi Murmu and visit Rajghat to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. On September 10, he will travel to Mumbai to participate in a Business Forum with leaders from both nations.

The Ministry of External Affairs noted that the visit aims to strengthen the historically close ties between India and the UAE. The Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries has expanded in various sectors, including trade, investment, technology, and culture.

In February, PM Modi visited the UAE and engaged in discussions with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, leading to the exchange of eight agreements, including one for the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor. This visit further underscores the commitment to enhancing bilateral relations and exploring new collaborative opportunities.

PM Modi had previously inaugurated the BAPS Mandir, the first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi, during his visit to the UAE.
