Abhay Deol recently shared his perspective on sexuality, emphasizing that he doesn’t believe in labeling it strictly. In an interview with ‘ The Dirty Magazine ‘, the actor talked about his roles in films such as ‘Dev D’; and ‘ Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! ‘, highlighting how these characters defied traditional stereotypes.
When asked about his own sexuality, Deol expressed that he views it as a spectrum and rejects the traditional Western approach of defining sexuality in rigid terms. He mentioned that in his view, everyone has both masculine and feminine traits and that these characteristics are not easily categorized.
Deol explained that he doesn’t feel the need to label himself and prefers to embrace all experiences in life. He noted that his stance might be seen as controversial but clarified that he doesn’t want to confine himself to specific definitions. He also commented on the comfort people find in categorizing others, but he believes it’s unnecessary to do so for one’s own identity.
