The Parivartan yatra , orchestrated by the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), unfolded on Saturday at a private palace, featuring Abhay Chautala, the Chief Secretary and legislator of INLD, as the chief guest. Abhay, while participating as the main dignitary, underscored the prevailing circumstances in both the nation and the state, expressing dissatisfaction with the current scenario. Parivartan yatra, set in motion on February 24, embarked on a comprehensive tour across the state, initiating its second phase from the revered soil of Rishi Markandeya.
During his address, Abhay alleged that unfulfilled promises made by the BJP-JJP coalition government during elections, specifically focusing on addressing the longstanding grievances of farmers, laborers, traders, and government employees. He took a critical stance on the Congress party, asserting that, instead of resolving the issues faced by the distressed populace in Haryana, the party seemed preoccupied with internal conflicts and disagreements.
Abhay drew attention to the acute shortage of teaching staff in schools across Haryana, with approximately 80,000 teaching positions lying vacant, a situation he attributed to the failure of the current government to address the staffing needs adequately. In outlining the INLD’s vision, Abhay pledged to create employment opportunities for the youth, increase the old-age pension to ₹7,500, and provide one free gas cylinder per month to every family in Haryana upon assuming power. The program concluded with a token of appreciation, as INLD activists presented a shawl to Ch. Abhay Singh Chautala in recognition of his leadership and commitment to public welfare.
