Sheikh Abdul Rashid, who has won the Lok Sabha election from Baramulla, has moved Delhi’s Patiala House Court seeking interim bail to take oath as a Lok Sabha member.
Sheikh Rashid’s petition will be heard in Delhi’s Patiala House Court on Friday.
Sheikh Abdul Rashid was arrested under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) by the NIA on charges of terror funding.
The Patiala House Court issued notice to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and sought response till Friday.
Rashid is an accused of providing financial support to terrorism. Rashid has been lodged in Tihar Jail since August 9, 2019.
