The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has released its first list of 20 candidates for the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections scheduled for next month. This comes amid ongoing negotiations with the Congress for a possible alliance, which have reportedly reached a stalemate over seat-sharing arrangements.

According to sources, the AAP, which is aiming to expand its footprint beyond Delhi and Punjab, is pushing to contest at least 10 out of the 90 Assembly seats in Haryana. However, the Congress has offered only seven, leading to a deadlock in discussions. The parties are reportedly still in talks to reach a consensus ahead of the elections.

The release of the candidate list indicates that AAP is preparing to go ahead with its campaign, regardless of the outcome of the alliance discussions. The move signals AAP’s intent to challenge established political parties in the state, particularly the ruling BJP and the opposition Congress.

The Haryana Assembly election will be a significant test for the AAP as it seeks to expand its influence in the northern state, with key issues such as governance, employment, and law and order likely to dominate the campaign.
