Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday promised 300 units of free electricity and a supply of 24*7 electricity in all cities and villages across Gujarat if his party forms government.

While addressing a press conference in Surat CM Kejriwal said, “We will provide 300 units of free electricity to all domestic consumers. We will ensure 24*7 electricity supply in all cities and villages, and all pending electricity bills up to 31st December 2021 will be waived off.”

On Wednesday, CM Kejriwal reached Surat and said the Gujarat people are tired of the BJP government and they have given us full support.

Slamming the BJP CM Kejriwal said, “Many parties come before the elections come up with a ‘Sankalp Patra’. When you ask him after the election that you promised to give Rs 15 lakhs, they say that that was only ‘jumla’. We don’t say election ‘jumla’, we do what we say.”

Earlier, the Aam Aadmi Party had announced that they will be contesting elections on all 182 seats in the state.

Last week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi warned people to stay away from ‘Rewari culture’. Responding to BJP’s statement on freebies Kejriwal said, “Some people are talking about ‘Rewari’ (sweet)…when ‘rewari’ is distributed among the public for free, then it’s called ‘prasad’. But when it is given for free to your friends and ministers, then it is ‘Paap’ (sin).

However, in Surat Municipal Corporation polls AAP showed an excellent performance in which they won 27 seats. BJP bagged 93 seats and Congress drew a blank. Notably, Gujarat elections will be held in the next year 2023.
