The Aam Aadmi Party has been campaigning extensively in Gujarat for the upcoming election in Delhi. The party chief, Arvind Kejriwal, has visited Veraval, Gir Somnath district, Gujarat, to announce his second guarantee on employment, or Rojgar, along with five other promises related to employment.
While announcing his second guarantee on employment, he exemplified the suicide of a 23-year old youth who committed suicide due to unemployment. He said, “I will provide employment to all. Do not commit suicide.”
The Rojgar guarantee also includes five other promises related to employment. Arvind Kejriwal, AAP chief, promised that if the party came to power, every youth would be employed within 5 years, and that unemployed youth would receive a Rs 3000 allowance until they found work.Also, if the party comes to power, it will provide 10 lakh government jobs to the youth. The party has also promised to take strong actions against question paper leaks, and lastly, the party will be completely intolerant of bribery or recommendation for employment in the cooperative sector.
This is the fourth trip to Gujarat in a month and the second in a week to Rajkot. Later, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal is also scheduled to attend maha aarti and offer prayers at a temple in Rajkot, in the Saurashtra region of Gujarat.
