Aaditya Thackeray, the Chief of Shiv Sena’s youth wing, has voiced serious concerns about the alleged lack of control the Shinde-Fadnavis government in Maharashtra exercises over civic bodies, citing rampant corruption in places like Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC).
Addressing a public rally at Pimpri Chowk, Thackeray expressed his dismay, stating, “Several scams from PCMC have come to light. Administrators in civic bodies across the state are calling the shots due to the absence of elections for the past two years. These administrators, while directly under the state government, seem to operate without any effective oversight.”
Highlighting the prevalence of scams, Thackeray asserted, “Corruption has become commonplace everywhere. The paper leak scandal in the Talathi exam is a prime example. I urge the Chief Minister to ensure that those responsible for the paper leak receive life imprisonment. Those jeopardizing the future of our children should not escape accountability.”
Thackeray also addressed the environmental concerns surrounding the pollution of the Indrayani River in the city. He stressed the need for coordinated efforts among various government departments to combat pollution, emphasizing the apparent lack of significant initiatives in this regard.
Taking a critical stance on Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s visit to Davos for the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting, Thackeray remarked, “The Chief Minister’s presence in Davos seems more for personal entertainment amidst the ice than for any substantial purpose.”
Further solidifying the party’s stance on Hindutva, Thackeray stated, “Sena’s Hindutva is about embodying the values of Lord Ram in our hearts and ensuring job opportunities for the youth.
