With the escalating threat of ISISI in Maldives, Ministry of Home Affairs has sent a team of National Investigating Agency (NIA) to the neighbouring country Maldives, sources said on Friday.  NIA’s “Supercop Team” has been sent to Maldives. Not long ago, 15 ISISI terrorists were arrested in Maldives by Madivian Police/Investigation Agency.

The sources also said that the terrorists revealed that they had joined ISISI after listening to Zakir NaiK’s videos and radical speeches. A team of NIA has been sent from India to interrogate these ISIS supporters and terrorists with the help of Maldivian Investigation Agency.

‘NIA officials will assist Maldivian investigative agency in the investigation of captured ISIS terrorists,’sources added further.

Zakir Naik is an Indian fugitive and is on the most wanted list of NIA. Since NIA already has several evidences against Naik, Maldivian investigating agency wants to investigate the entire link associated with Zakir Naik with NIA’s support.

The terror activities linked with ISISI are surging in Maldives since it is India’s neighboring country which ultimately also poses a threat on India and as a matter of national interest, the case is being investigated by NIA.
