Located in the heart of Andaz Hotel in Aerocity, AnnaMaya is a culinary haven that offers a unique dining experience. The restaurant offers a gastronomic journey bustling with warm hospitality and a vibrant atmosphere that sets the tone for an exceptional meal.
To start off our dining experience, we decided to indulge in some refreshing beverages. We savoured their Gin & Tea (a concoction of Kashmiri Kahwa Gin, Himalayan Strawberry Cooler, and Indian Tonic), Mojito (a blend of rum, citon, and mint leaves), Tijara Martini (a creation with mango syrup, pineapple juice, and white rum), and Peach Lemonade which were all expertly crafted, perfectly balancing flavours and leaving us wanting more.
Moving on to the appetisers, we were treated to a delightful array of flavours starting from a spicy Mint Chutney and Masala Papad that were a crispy and tangy delight. Next we had the Roasted Caviar and Scallop which brought along a burst of seafood goodness. The Roasted Cauliflower was a surprising standout, with its smoky flavours and perfectly cooked texture. The Cheese Fritters, marinated in buckwheat and loaded with mozzarella cheese, were indulgent and cheesy, making for a satisfying nibble.
Next up, we feasted on the Paneer Kathi Rolls, which were filled with succulent paneer and a medley of spices, providing a delightful combination of flavours. The AnnaMaya Special Chicken Tikka was a true treat, with tender chicken cooked to perfection and infused with aromatic spices. For the main course, we had the pleasure of trying the Pomodoro Risotto. The dish was a symphony of flavours, with the creamy risotto perfectly complemented by the tanginess of the pomodoro and bits of burrata cheese. Each bite was a burst of deliciousness that left us craving more.
Chef Matteo Fracalossi also fed us one of his standout creations that holds a special place in his culinary repertoire, the Double Stuffed Ravioli. This exceptional dish featured ravioli shaped like agnolotti, drawing inspiration from the traditional ravioli of Piemonte. What sets this dish apart is the dual filling within each raviolo, which is a harmonious blend of creamy burrata and flavourful guinea fowl, creating a symphony of flavours with every bite.
The result is a culinary experience that lingers in the memory, making it truly special!
To end our meal on a sweet note, we dived into the Banoffee Pie and Tiramisu. The Banoffee Pie was a dreamy combination of caramel, banana, and a buttery crust, while the Tiramisu was a classic caffeine rendition that hit all the right notes.
Overall, our dining experience at AnnaMaya was exceptional. The ambiance was inviting, the service was attentive, and the food was perfect to the T. The menu offerings were diverse and showcased a fusion of flavours that left us wanting to explore more. AnnaMaya is a must-visit for food enthusiasts looking to embark on a gastronomic journey that celebrates the best of Indian and international cuisine!
