Just a day after Pakistan Army chief Asim Munir’s nuclear warning, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari threatens war with India over the Indus Waters Treaty

Speaking at a Sindh government event, Bilawal called diversion of Indus River water an attack on Pakistan’s history, culture, and civilisation

India put the Indus Waters Treaty in abeyance after the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26. Amit Shah: “We will never restore it”

“If PM Modi attacks Indus, he attacks our history… The people of Pakistan can confront Modi in war and reclaim all six rivers,” Bilawal said

Bilawal alleged India’s “water aggression” was retaliation for a setback in a May military clash

In Florida, the Pakistan Army chief said, “Will take down half the world with us if Pakistan faces an existential threat”

In response, the Ministry of External Affairs said that Pakistan’s nuclear threats show lack of credible nuclear control. India will not give in to blackmail and will safeguard national security

In June, Bilawal had already threatened war if India denied Pakistan’s share of Indus water

With water security, nuclear threats, and political rhetoric heating up, the Indus dispute pushes India-Pakistan relations into deeper crisis
