Kanye West’s YEEZY store has relaunched after being pulled offline by Shopify earlier this week for selling swastika-themed merchandise, sparking backlash and controversy worldwide
The Shopify takedown happened after YEEZY began selling T-shirts featuring swastikas — imagery linked to Nazi Germany, anti-Semitism, and white supremacist movements
Advocacy groups, including the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), condemned the products, urging platforms to act faster against hate symbols and offensive merchandise
Shopify said the store violated its terms of service by failing to follow “real business practices,” leading to the removal of the listings.
The controversy deepened when YEEZY aired a 30-second ad during the Super Bowl, filmed by West in a dentist’s office, directing viewers to the site
The ad aired amid West’s widely criticised posts on X, described as antisemitic, homophobic, and misogynistic, prompting talent agency 33& West to drop him
YEEZY’s relaunch now features far fewer items, with significant price drops — YEEZY Slides now cost $20, and nothing exceeds $100
This marks a huge shift for the brand, which has previously been known for premium pricing and limited-edition drops that sold out quickly
West’s business ventures have faced repeated fallout since 2022, when Creative Artists Agency (CAA) and multiple fashion partners cut ties over his remarks
The YEEZY store’s future remains uncertain, as ongoing criticism and lost partnerships continue to shadow West’s once highly lucrative fashion empire
