A clip of New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon celebrating Holi with a huge gathering at ISKCON Auckland has gone viral again as India observes the festival of colour. In the February clip, Luxon is throwing gulal (coloured powder) on the gathering, counting down “3.2.1.”

Take a look:

Luxon, self-proclaimed “big fan of India,” is visiting India from March 16 to 20 to advance bilateral relations in areas such as trade and investment. It is his first visit to India as Prime Minister.

On his visit, Luxon will hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 17 in New Delhi on trade, defence cooperation, and developing people-to-people relations. He will also call on President Droupadi Murmu and will be accompanied by a high-level delegation consisting of ministers, business leaders, media representatives, and members of the Indian diaspora.

Luxon’s visit will involve travel to Mumbai on March 19-20 prior to returning to Wellington. The visit underscores the long-standing bond between India and New Zealand and reiterates the two countries’ commitment to furthering their relationship in every field. As the Ministry of External Affairs articulated, the visit will enhance bilateral cooperation and facilitate people-to-people ties.
