One of the flights, a Korean Air passenger who tried to open an emergency door mid-air, required that the crew divert and land immediately. Fearing this situation, the video of which has been circulating on social media, there has been panic regarding unruly passengers and air travel safety.
Although it is impossible to open emergency doors at high altitudes due to cabin pressure, the act caused huge distress among the passengers. Many left wondering what the man intended to do. Luckily, the cabin crew acted swiftly to restrain the individual and avert a potentially disastrous situation.
According to reports, the passenger engaged in non-cooperative behavior with verbal aggression and threatening body postures. With much resistance on his part, the crew restrained him with five members in an effort to take control of the situation.
The video of the incident has quickly spread and had wide effects in social networks.

Many people in social media tried to comment that the crew was professional and prepared. One user commented, “Check out this lady; she knew exactly what to do and got the tie-ups. Others brought up the idea of avionics safety. “I don’t think one could open the door even if it were unlocked because of pressure differential,” observed one of them. Another remarked, “That is a situation I never wish to find myself in.”
The airline confirmed that the procedures for safety had actually been followed, and no one was hurt. It assured its commitment to passenger safety while urging passengers to follow in-flight rules set by the organization for their safety and the well-being of everybody on board.
This was not an isolated incident. Not so long ago, one similar case occurred when someone tried to open the emergency exit door while on a Bangkok-Seoul flight. These repeated incidents reveal the importance of trained cabin crew in handling such onboard emergencies effectively.
