Bloomberg says Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries, will build in Jamnagar, Gujarat, the biggest data center in the world. This first-of-its-kind initiative seeks to improve India’s digital backbone and fortify its place in the worldwide AI scene.

Including purchasing state-of-the-art semiconductors from top artificial technology company NVIDIA, the bold plan underlines Reliance’s dedication to advancing artificial intelligence.

NVIDIA to Provide Reliance’s Data Center with Sophisticated AI Processors

A cooperation between Reliance and NVIDIA was revealed at the NVIDIA AI Summit in October 2024 meant to construct AI infrastructure in India. NVIDIA will provide its cutting-edge Blackwell AI processors for Reliance’s one-gigawatt data center as part of the partnership.

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang stated during the summit that India should grow its own AI capabilities; Mukesh Ambani replied underlining the potential of India. He said, “Apart from China and the United States, India possesses the most advanced digital connectivity infrastructure.”

Reliance Industries Strong Financial competitiveness

Besides this technological advancement, Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) posted a 12% year-over-year increase in consolidated net profit of ₹21,930 crore for the quarter ending December 31. Its strong digital services, retail, and oil-to-chemical divisions all contributed to the expansion.
