Hyderabad FC triumphed over Jamshedpur FC in a thrilling 3-2 encounter at the GMC Balayogi Athletic Stadium. This crucial win ended their nine-match winless streak in the Indian Super League 2024-25 season.

Hyderabad Takes Early Control

Right from the start, Hyderabad FC dominated the match with their aggressive approach. They created several chances in the first half and quickly gained an advantage. Notably, Muhammed Rafi scored his maiden ISL goal in the 12th minute.

To set up this goal, Manoj Mohammad showcased excellent skill on the left flank. He delivered a low, powerful cross into the box, which Rafi confidently hammered into the net. As a result, Hyderabad FC took an early lead and set the tone for the match.

Jamshedpur Responds Swiftly

However, Jamshedpur FC quickly regrouped and fought back with determination. Their persistent pressure on Hyderabad’s defense paid off, as they earned two penalties in quick succession.

In the 24th minute, Javi Hernandez converted the first penalty after Manoj fouled him inside the box. He calmly sent the ball into the bottom right corner, leveling the score.

Just three minutes later, Jamshedpur gained another penalty after Alex Saji brought down Jordan Murray in the box. This time, Javi targeted the bottom left corner and secured a 2-1 lead for Jamshedpur FC.

Missed Opportunities for Jamshedpur

Subsequently, Jamshedpur tried to extend their lead. Imran Khan delivered a precise pass to Jordan Murray, who attempted a shot from the center of the box. Unfortunately, the effort went high and wide, leaving Jamshedpur unable to capitalize on the chance.

Hyderabad’s Second-Half Resurgence

In the second half, Hyderabad FC regained their momentum. They launched a series of well-coordinated attacks while maintaining a solid defensive shape.

Eventually, in the 69th minute, Ramhlunchhunga delivered a perfectly timed pass into the attacking third. Joseph Sunny displayed remarkable composure as he collected the ball and fired it into the top right corner. With this goal, Hyderabad equalized the score at 2-2 and reignited the contest.

Alba’s Decisive Goal

Shortly after the equalizer, Hyderabad sustained their offensive pressure. Their efforts were rewarded in the 74th minute with a moment of brilliance from Andrei Alba.

Manoj Mohammad, who had been instrumental earlier, provided another assist. Alba received the pass outside the box, took a precise shot, and sent the ball into the bottom left corner. This stunning strike secured the lead and ultimately the victory for Hyderabad FC.

Overall, Hyderabad FC’s spirited performance and timely goals secured a much-needed win. Although Jamshedpur FC displayed resilience and created opportunities, Hyderabad’s determination and key moments of brilliance made the difference. This victory boosts their confidence as they move forward in the Indian Super League 2024-25 season.
