External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, during his meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, highlighted India’s concerns over prolonged visa delays. Addressing the media after their discussion, Jaishankar emphasized that such delays negatively impact business, tourism, and the overall bilateral relationship. “The relationship is not well-served if it takes too long for people to obtain visas. These delays ultimately hinder business, affect tourism, and constrain people-to-people interaction, which forms the foundation of our relationship,” he stated.
