Warner Bros. Reveals 2025 Slate: ‘Wicked: For Good’, ‘Superman’ in the Lineup

Hollywood fans have plenty to look forward to in 2025 as Warner Bros. Pictures unveils its highly anticipated slate for the year.

The lineup includes a mix of blockbusters, thrillers, and heartfelt dramas, featuring titles like Superman, Jurassic World: Rebirth, The Conjuring: Last Rites, Final Destination: Bloodlines, and live-action adaptations like How to Train Your Dragon 2 and Wicked: For Good. Gaming adaptations such as A Minecraft Movie and Mortal Kombat II also take center stage, alongside Michael, a biopic on legendary pop star Michael Jackson.

Among the highlights, Mickey 17, starring Robert Pattinson and directed by Academy Award winner Bong Joon-Ho, will release on March 7. A Minecraft Movie, based on the iconic video game and starring Jason Momoa and Jack Black, hits theaters on April 4. From the dynamic director-actor duo Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan comes Sinners, a new horror vision set to release on April 18.

The supernatural franchise Final Destination: Bloodlines returns with its sixth installment on May 16. On June 27, F1, a Formula 1 racing film starring Brad Pitt, races into theaters. James Gunn’s reimagining of Superman, starring David Corenswet, is slated for release on July 11.

Horror fans can look forward to The Conjuring: Last Rites, the final chapter of the beloved Conjuring universe, on September 5. Christian Bale headlines the sci-fi horror film The Bride, which releases on September 26. On October 10, Ryan Reynolds and Jason Momoa star in the hybrid live-action/CG road trip comedy Animal Friends. The sequel to the 2021 blockbuster Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat II, releases on October 24.

Warner Bros. Pictures, in collaboration with Universal Pictures, will also release several other major films. Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, starring Renée Zellweger, Hugh Grant, Colin Firth, Emma Thompson, Isla Fisher, and Chiwetel Ejiofor, arrives on February 14. The romantic comedy Anora follows on February 21, while The Brutalist, starring Adrien Brody, releases on February 28.

Steven Soderbergh’s espionage thriller Black Bag, featuring Cate Blanchett, Michael Fassbender, and Pierce Brosnan, is set for March 14. The live-action adaptation of How to Train Your Dragon, directed by Dean DeBlois and starring Mason Thames, Nico Parker, and Gerard Butler, comes out on June 13.

Fans of the Jurassic franchise can enjoy Jurassic World: Rebirth, starring Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, Mahershala Ali, and Rupert Friend, directed by Gareth Edwards, on July 4. Meanwhile, M3GAN 2.0, the sequel to the hit horror film, releases on June 27.

Other notable releases include The Bad Guys 2, from the DreamWorks Animation franchise, on August 1; Nobody 2, starring Bob Odenkirk, on August 22; and Downton Abbey 3, directed by Simon Curtis, on September 12.

Michael, a biopic on the legendary pop star featuring Jaafar Jackson, Nia Long, and Miles Teller, directed by Antoine Fuqua, releases on October 2. The beloved Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie arrives on October 17, while Wicked: For Good, the sequel to the 2024 hit, releases on November 21. Finally, Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, based on the hit video game, closes out the year on December 5.
