Ready to make his long-expected comeback to the Indian cricket team is star pacer Mohammad Shami. Last playing for India on November 19, 2023, the 34-year-old led wicket-taker in the ODI World Cup 2023. Although an ankle injury kept Shami out for the whole of 2024, he effectively announced his return to Bengal domestic cricket in November 2024. His remarkable return got him a place in the T20I squad of India for the five-match series against England to follow.
Showing encouraging signs of form, Shami attended Eden Gardens India’s first practice session on Sunday, January 19 and bowled at full pace for more than an hour.
