The Mumbai Police detained three individuals working at Saif Ali Khan’s residence on Thursday following an attack on the actor at his home in Bandra. The suspects were taken to the police station for questioning, as confirmed by IANS.
The incident occurred around 4 a. m. , when an intruder allegedly broke into Saif Ali Khan’s residence and assaulted him. As per police reports, a confrontation took place between Saif and the intruder, who later fled after stabbing the actor six times. The actor was promptly taken to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai, where he is receiving treatment.

In an official statement, Saif Ali Khan‘s team mentioned: “There was an attempted burglary at Mr. Saif Ali Khan’s residence. He is currently hospitalized undergoing surgery. We request the media and fans to remain patient. It is a police matter. We will keep you informed on the situation. ”
Sources indicate that Saif faced the intruder without a weapon to protect his family. “It was the middle of the night, and he fought bravely, incurring injuries in the process,” the source commented.
Medical Updates from Lilavati Hospital
Dr. Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, provided further details: “Saif Ali Khan was assaulted by an unknown person at his home. He has six injuries inflicted by sharp objects, including two critical wounds, one of which is near his spine. A small foreign object has been identified near the spine. Saif is currently undergoing surgery led by Dr. Nitin Dange, Consultant Neurosurgeon, along with Dr. Leena Jain, Consultant Plastic Surgeon, and other specialists. The extent of the injuries will be evaluated after the surgical procedure. ”
Police Investigation
The Mumbai Police stated: “An unidentified individual entered Saif Ali Khan’s home and had a confrontation with his maid late last night. When the actor intervened to diffuse the situation, he was attacked and wounded. ” A senior IPS officer also confirmed that the Mumbai Crime Branch is conducting a parallel investigation.
