Billionaires Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, and Jeff Bezos are set to attend President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20. Reports confirm they will have prominent seating at the ceremony, alongside key guests, including Trump’s Cabinet nominees and other officials.

Elon Musk Strengthens Bond with Trump

Elon Musk has emerged as one of Trump’s most influential allies. Over the past year, Musk donated significant funds to Trump’s campaign, contributing to his election victory. In return, Trump appointed Musk as co-leader of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), an advisory body focused on reducing federal spending and bureaucracy. Although not an official government agency, the move demonstrates Musk’s growing connection with Trump’s administration.

Zuckerberg Aligns with Trump

Mark Zuckerberg has recently shown signs of aligning with Trump’s policies. He announced that Facebook and Instagram will discontinue third-party fact-checking programs in the United States, replacing them with a “community notes” model similar to that on Musk’s platform “X.” Zuckerberg argued this change prioritizes free speech and minimizes bias. The decision sparked discussions about his political leanings, as his statements often echoed Trump’s rhetoric. In addition, Zuckerberg will co-host a black-tie reception for Trump’s inauguration, joining influential Republican donors.

Bezos Pursues Strategic Engagement

Jeff Bezos has also made notable efforts to connect with Trump. In a surprising move, The Washington Post, owned by Bezos, refrained from endorsing Kamala Harris in the presidential election, reportedly due to Bezos overruling editorial staff. Furthermore, Amazon contributed $1 million to Trump’s inaugural fund, a clear sign of Bezos’ intention to maintain favorable relations with the incoming administration.

High-Profile Reception Hosts

The inauguration reception, scheduled for January 20, will feature several co-hosts alongside Zuckerberg. These include Miriam Adelson, widow of casino tycoon Sheldon Adelson; Tilman Fertitta, casino magnate and Trump’s nominee for ambassador to Italy; and Todd Ricketts, co-owner of the Chicago Cubs, along with his wife, Sylvie Legere.

Global Attention on Trump’s Leadership

Trump’s inauguration marks the beginning of a closely watched presidency. The presence of major tech leaders highlights shifting power dynamics as Trump prepares to address critical issues such as immigration and the Ukraine conflict during his tenure.
