At least 10 Palestinians were killed and several others injured following an Israeli airstrike on Deir al-Balah in Gaza, according to medical officials. The attack targeted the area as part of ongoing Israeli military operations.
A house in Rafah was also struck, killing five people including a woman, and injuring four. Medics said that all the five people are confirmed dead and the extent of injuries for the four injured people is yet to be determined.
The airstrikes come at a time when the region is increasingly becoming hot as Gaza has been experiencing a tremendous rise in violence over the past months. The situation is being closely monitored by humanitarian organizations for its impact on civilians as the situation continues to unfold. Both incidents are part of a larger military escalation that has intensified amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and Gaza-based militant groups.
