Most people consider spam calls offering credit cards or loans as a nuisance, but voice artist Tanya Nambiar found the funny way to deal with this situation. In one of the Instagram viral videos, Nambiar turned a typical bank spam call into a hilarious moment, going up against the telemarketer with her voice modulation skills.
Nambiar doesn’t hang up when the caller from a bank offers special credit card deals. Instead, she asks, “Are you lonely and looking for a friend?” Then she tells the caller to “press one” to continue the chat. An unexpected reaction from the caller will ensue as the caller becomes confused and most probably flustered. He presses one, then curses, and hangs up quickly.

The video quickly went viral, accumulating nearly six million views. Viewers flooded the comments with praise and laughter, with many expressing their desire to prank spam callers themselves. One person commented, “This is brilliant! I’m definitely trying this next time,” while another wrote, “Finally, someone gave them a taste of their own medicine!”
Not everyone felt the same, however. Some viewers felt pity for the telemarketers, commenting that “these callers are just doing their jobs.” Still, the majority found Nambiar’s prank “hilarious” and “a must-watch,” as a person remarked, “This is gold—he pressed one! I don’t even stop watching it.
