Cheating Scandal Escalates, Bedham Criticises Congress Over Allegations

The political controversy surrounding the National Seed Corporation recruitment exam cheating scandal in Rajasthan continues to escalate. Although the police took swift action and arrested the accused behind the large-scale cheating attempt, the issue has shifted to the political arena.

Bedham Responds To Congress Allegations

Minister of State for Home, Jawahar Singh Bedham, responded strongly to the allegations raised by the Congress party, particularly by state president Govind Singh Dotasra.

Speaking at the BJP headquarters on Wednesday, dismissed the Congress’ criticisms, saying, “Congress leaders’ brains got punctured and leaked.”

He further remarked that they are recalling the issues from their rule, when paper leaks occurred frequently. He emphasised that under the current government, police acted swiftly and arrested the cheating mafia before any leaks occurred.

The incident, which took place on Sunday, involved a well-organised cheating racket in the examination, with papers being solved in buses. However, the Jaipur Police and SOG intervened, foiling the plans of the mafia and preventing harm to the examinees. In response, Congress had accused the government of failing to live up to its claims of curbing paper leaks, but Bedham refuted these claims, highlighting the difference in how such incidents are handled under the Congress and BJP administrations.

Congress Criticised For Lack Of Real Issues

Bedham also addressed the broader political situation, criticising Congress for lacking any real issues. He claimed the public had rejected Congress, pointing to BJP’s strong performance in the recent byelections, including winning the Salumbar seat from Congress. Bedham reiterated the BJP’s commitment to development, stating that the party is fully prepared to form the government again in the next elections, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma.

Regarding the ongoing organisational elections, Bedham called them a “festival,” stressing that the BJP is a worker-based party, and all responsibilities within the party will be assigned through consensus among workers.
