In a significant breakthrough, Dadri Police successfully dismantled a gang of thieves, arresting seven individuals involved in multiple thefts. The operation resulted in the recovery of illegal weapons, tools used in thefts, stolen cash, a considerable amount of stolen goods, and a vehicle.
The arrests were made near the Samauddinpur village bypass leading to the railway overbridge, following intelligence inputs. During interrogation, the suspects admitted to stealing the recovered chain-link fencing by cutting it from near the Samauddinpur underpass along the Peripheral Expressway four to five days ago. They were apprehended while attempting to sell the stolen goods. They also confessed to committing a theft in a house in Samauddinpur village the night before, sharing the stolen money among themselves.The accused are linked to multiple criminal cases registered at Dadri Police Station, including violations under Sections 303(2), 317(2), 305, 115(2), 125, 351(2), 352, 61(2) BNS, and 3/4/25 of the Arms Act.
The arrested individuals were identified as Satish (30), son of late Roopchand Jogi from Rithodi, Dadri; Sonu (20), son of late Baljeet from Samauddinpur, Dadri; Sumit (25), son of Veerpal from Samauddinpur, Dadri; Prashant alias Kallan (21), son of late Satpal from Samauddinpur, Dadri; Darshan (21), son of Rakesh from Rithodi, Dadri; Noor Mohammad (28), son of late Asgar from Veerpura, Aligarh, currently residing in Chithera, Dadri; and Tanish Kumar alias Golu (19), son of late Shyam Singh from Samauddinpur, Dadri.
Recovered items included an illegal pistol with two live cartridges, an illegal knife, tools such as blades, saws, and a spade, 28 pieces of chain-link fencing weighing approximately 12 quintals and valued at ₹3 lakh, ₹2,900 in stolen cash, and an Ashok Leyland vehicle used for transporting stolen items. The operation was spearheaded by Inspector Arvind Kumar, supported by Sub-Inspectors Rajesh Babu, Manoj Kumar, and Kamal Singh, along with Head Constable Mohammad Arshad and Constables Anuj Kumar and Rahul Kumar.
The Dadri Police praised the team’s efforts in apprehending the suspects and recovering the stolen property. Inspector Arvind Kumar stated, “This operation marks a crucial step towards combating organized theft in the area. We remain committed to ensuring the safety and security of our citizens.” Investigations are ongoing to uncover the gang’s involvement in other thefts and their operational network. All seven accused have been taken into custody, and legal proceedings are in progress.
