Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan is all set to collaborate with director-producer Karan Johar for the first time, marking a much-anticipated reunion.
The film, titled ‘Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri’, brings Kartik back to the rom-com genre and will be helmed by Satya Prem Ki Katha director Sameer Vidwans. It is being produced under the banner of Dharma Productions and is slated for a worldwide theatrical release in 2026.
The announcement was made via a joint Instagram post by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Kartik Aaryan, and Namah Pictures, featuring a 34-second teaser for the film.

The teaser includes Kartik’s voiceover, where he humorously reflects on his last three failed relationships and vows to make his fourth attempt a success. Sharing the teaser, Kartik wrote: “Mummy ki khaayi hui kasam, yeh Mumma’s boy poori karke he rehta hai! Tumhara RAY aa raha hai RUMI. Super excited to return to my fav genre Rom-com #TuMeriMainTeraMainTeraTuMeri. The biggest love story coming to cinemas in 2026.”
Details about the release date and the film’s lead actress are yet to be revealed. Following the success of Satya Prem Ki Katha, Kartik is reuniting with Namah Pictures, while Dharma Productions’ involvement has elevated the project’s scale and anticipation.
The film has also generated buzz due to Kartik and Karan Johar reuniting after reports of a fallout in 2022. The controversy arose when Dharma Productions announced a recasting for Dostana 2, which initially starred Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor. Although neither party publicly acknowledged any conflict, rumors suggested otherwise. However, in August last year, Karan hinted at their collaboration during an interaction with the media.
On being asked about working together, Karan had said: “We gave one attempt and for various reasons, it didn’t fructify and we have been in conversation to do something. Hopefully, this one will materialise. It’s something we are very excited about.”
He further praised Kartik, stating: “Kartik has given us films that resonate with the entire country and has given films that brought people back to the theatres.”
Kartik Aaryan was last seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, directed by Anees Bazmee. The film, which featured Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, and Triptii Dimri in prominent roles, was a major box-office success.
