Congress Leader Accuses Allu Arjun of Insulting Police in Pushpa 2

Theenmar Mallanna, a Congress leader in Telangana, recently filed a police complaint against Telugu actor Allu Arjun. He accuses the actor of insulting the police force in his film Pushpa 2: The Rise. The complaint was lodged at Medipalli police station and also names the movie’s director, Sukumar, and its producers.

Controversial Scene in the Film

The core of the complaint is a scene where Allu Arjun’s character urinates in a swimming pool with a police officer present. Mallanna has described this scene as “disrespectful” and degrading to law enforcement officers. Consequently, he is demanding strict action against the filmmakers.

Previous Controversy at Movie Premiere

This new complaint follows another controversy surrounding the film’s premiere at Hyderabad’s Sandhya Theatre on December 4. A stampede occurred during the event, tragically resulting in the death of a woman and leaving her son critically injured. Despite the police denying permission for the event, Allu Arjun attended, which led to his arrest. However, he was later released on bail.

Fresh Notice for Allu Arjun

In light of the ongoing situation, the Telangana Police have issued a fresh notice to Allu Arjun. They have instructed him to appear for questioning on Tuesday at 11 am. Meanwhile, the woman’s husband, Bhaskar, has indicated that he may drop the case against the actor.

Violent Protests and Political Tension

On Sunday, violent protests broke out outside Allu Arjun’s residence. Protesters hurled tomatoes and caused damage to the property. These protests have escalated into a political issue, with the BJP and BRS accusing the Congress government of mishandling the situation.

Link to Chief Minister’s Constituency

Furthermore, the BJP and BRS allege that some of the protesters are connected to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s Kodangal constituency. In connection with the incident, six individuals, reportedly Osmania University students, have been arrested.
