The video, which appears to show Jenkins being questioned roughly, was shared by Russian journalist Alexander Sladkov on Telegram.

In the video, Jenkins, aged 32, is seen with his hands bound in tape or plastic, wearing military fatigues, and with dirt on his face. He speaks in broken Russian and English, stating, “I’m Australian. Oscar Jenkins. 32 years old… I study biology.” The footage quickly spread online, prompting further attention.

Meanwhile, Sladkov shared the video with a caption that reads: “Our biologist was caught from Australia.” He expressed concern, writing, “What is this guy doing? Who is this guy?
