PM Modi Invites Indian Diaspora For Pravasi Bharatiya Divas

PM Modi Invites Indian Diaspora For Pravasi Bharatiya Divas

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called on the Indian diaspora to actively participate in India’s journey towards ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India). Speaking at the ‘Hala Modi’ community event in Kuwait, PM Modi extended an invitation to Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2025, which will be held in Bhubaneswar from January 8-10, 2025.

Key Announcements by PM Modi

1. Role of the Indian Diaspora:
PM Modi emphasized that the journey to a developed India would be incomplete without the active involvement of Indians living abroad. He said,
“The journey toward a developed India, or Viksit Bharat, cannot be completed without the active participation of the Indian diaspora.”

2. India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor:
PM Modi spoke about the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor, a significant initiative announced during the G-20 Summit last year. He remarked,
“This corridor is going to give a new direction to the world.”

3. Contributions to Global Knowledge and Wellness:
Highlighting India’s traditional medicine and modern institutions, he said:

  • Ayurveda and Ayush Products: India’s traditional medicine systems contribute significantly to global wellness.
  • Knowledge Systems: From ancient institutions like Nalanda to modern IITs, India has been strengthening the world’s knowledge system.

Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2025

PM Modi invited the Indian diaspora to Bhubaneswar for the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas celebration in January 2025. He described it as an opportunity to connect with India’s culture and progress while contributing to the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat.’

Historic Visit to Kuwait

This marked the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Kuwait in 43 years. PM Modi was warmly received by Kuwait’s Deputy Prime Minister, Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, and Foreign Minister Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya.

Excitement Among the Indian Diaspora

The Indian community in Kuwait expressed overwhelming excitement ahead of the event, with thousands gathering at the Shaikh Saad Al Abdullah Indoor Sports Complex to hear PM Modi’s address.

With this visit, PM Modi has once again strengthened the bond between India and its diaspora, underscoring their pivotal role in shaping India’s future.
