Donald Trump couldn’t stop praising the “very handsome” Prince William after their meeting in Paris over the weekend. According to reports, the comments of the president-elect have left Prince Harry and Meghan Markle uneasy, especially with regards to Harry’s ongoing concerns over U.S. visas.
Trump Meets Prince William
The meeting was during the Notre Dame Cathedral’s reopening celebrations, which had been ravaged by fire in 2019. Prince William, representing his father, King Charles, made an appearance at the ceremony. It marked the first royal meeting with Trump since the latter left the White House in 2021.
Later on, Donald Trump described the encounter to New York Post. According to him, William was “a great looking guy”. As if people can sometimes look more impressive than others; “some people look better in person? He looked fantastic. He looked terrific, and I told him that”. As reported, they apparently had two hours in a talk in the UK Ambassador’s Residence in Paris. Trump described it as a “good conversation,” and said they touched on topics such as William’s wife, Kate Middleton, who is fighting cancer, and King Charles III, who is also battling cancer.

Stance of Trump on Harry’s Visa Troubles
President Donald Trump in the past had been vocally clear about his position against Prince Harry. Speaking to the US Daily Express, he explained, “I wouldn’t be defending him. He dissembled the Queen. That cannot be forgiven. He’d be on his own then if it was up to me.”
The Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank opposed to Harry’s immigration status, is hopeful for Trump’s chances of winning the 2024 election. As per Daily Mail, Nile Gardiner, Director of The Heritage Foundation’s Margaret Thatcher Center of Freedom, said that the win for Trump could leak the confidential immigration documents of Harry and make things much tougher for the duke in America.
With the diplomatic talks between Trump and Prince William going on, Harry and Meghan may be ready to face the consequences in the near future.
