ADGP Reviews Operational Preparedness of Kathua Police Following Recent Terror Attack

JAMMU, Dec 5: Following recent terror activities and an attack in Kathua district, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu Zone, Shri Anand Jain, along with senior officials, conducted a comprehensive review of the operational preparedness of the Kathua Police.

Accompanied by Sh. R Gopala Krishna Rao, IPS, Inspector General (IG) CRPF, Jammu Sector, and Sh. Shobhit Saxena, IPS, SSP Kathua, the ADGP visited the Special Operations Group (SOG) camps in the Bani-Machedi axis to assess the security measures in place.

During his visit, ADGP Jain inspected the infrastructure, equipment, and training facilities at the SOG camps located in Lowang and Duggaini. He held detailed discussions with SOG personnel and reviewed the region’s security arrangements, counter-insurgency strategies, and readiness to address emerging security challenges in the border district.

Emphasizing the need for continuous training and skill enhancement, the ADGP instructed the personnel to stay vigilant and take proactive steps to prevent further incidents of terrorism and crime. He urged the teams to maintain high levels of professionalism and collaboration with other security agencies to ensure the safety and security of the region.

The review comes in the wake of increasing concerns over security in the region, with authorities taking measures to bolster preparedness in response to recent threats.
