Tripura: Bangladesh issue sparks outrage, Breach at Bangladesh Assistant High Commission

In a shocking incident, the premises of the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Agartala were reportedly breached by unidentified miscreants.

The alleged attackers were accused of desecrating the national flag of Bangladesh, triggering widespread condemnation and calls for justice. As per sources, activists of the Hindu Conflict Association protested in front of the Agartala Bangladesh Assistant High Commission office unfurled the national flag of Bangladesh and burnt it. Excitement builds. A large police force is at the scene.

The incident has sparked outrage both domestically and internationally. Protesters took to the streets in various parts of India, expressing solidarity with minorities in Bangladesh and demanding accountability for the breach. The act has also raised serious concerns about the security of diplomatic missions in the region.

Speaking to TDG, a protester stated, “What is happening in Bangladesh is known to everybody. We are protesting against the atrocities of Hindus and for insulting the Indian flag. We have submitted a memorandum to the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission and also we asked them to take effective steps to take measures against the culprits.” Meanwhile, the protesters denied any unruly protests and stated that peaceful demonstrations were held.

A statement has been taken by the Government of India on the breach of premises at the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Agartala. The statement read, “The incident earlier today of the breach of premises at the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Agartala is deeply regrettable. Diplomatic and consular properties should not be targeted under any circumstances. Government is taking action to step up security arrangements for the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi and their Deputy/Assistant High Commissions in the country.”
